First Cello in Europa Galante Orchestra conducted by Fabio Biondi since 2014, he regularly performs in famous festivals and halls, as Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia di Roma, Suntory Hall in Tokio, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Konzerthaus and Musikverein in Vienna, Dubai’ Opera, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, Disney Hall in Los Angeles.
He played Cello in the Orchestra of Teatro alla Scala in Milano from 1998 to 2002, and he specialized in the field of chamber music, in particular in the String Quartet, a formation with which he performed throughout Europe
He played as First Cello in Accademia Bizantina conducted by Ottavio Dantone, and in Barocchisti conducted by Diego Fasolis.
Ha has recorded many cds, for per Bayer Records, Camerata Tokyo, Decca, Urania Records, Dynamic, Glossa, Tactus, Brilliant Classics (J.L. Duport, “21 studi per violoncello”).
Since 2005 he teachs Cello at the Music Conservatory “Vecchi-Tonelli” in Modena.
He is regularly invited as guest teacher at Music Conservatory in Tel Aviv and in masterclasses e summercourses. He is also an Instructor Teacher for the Suzuki Method.

Born in 1975 in Acqui Terme. Began to study the cello at a very young age, and had brilliantly graduated from the Conservatoire “G.Verdi” of Turin. Studied with A. Vendramelli and R. Filippini (W. Stauffer Academy in Cremona), Ivan Monighetti (Concert Diploma in Violoncello with Honours at the Hochschule fur Musik Basel Stadt,2003) and with Paolo Beschi (Degree with Honours on Baroque Cello at the Conservatoire of Como).
Specialized in in chamber music repertoire, particularly in string quartet one, studying with the Amadeus Quartet at the Royal Academy of Music in London, with Felix Ayo , Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, and with Roland Baldini, at the Hochschüle für Musik und Theater Leipzig, playing in string quartet since he was very young, winning many awards and quartet competitions recognitions .
Recorded for the German label Bayer Records, for the Japanese Camerata Tokio, and, recently, for Decca, Urania Records, Brilliant Classics and Dynamic.
As a soloist and chamber music player, he regularly performs, playing with important international ensembles; he gives concerts all over in Europe, in Japan, in America and South Africa, at prestigious concert halls and music centers.
He is the first cellist of Europa Galante and Fabio Biondi Ensemble, and since 2004 he has been dedicating himsef to the study and performing of philological execution of ancient music, working, also as first cello, with Accademia Bizantina in Ravenna, “I Barocchisti” in Lugano, Ensemble Italico Splendore, playing at the main baroque music festivals in Europe, such as Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall New York, Walt Disney Hall Los Angeles in USA, Haendel-Festspiele, Alte Oper Frankfurt, das Alte Werk NDR Hamburg, Via Stellae in Santiago de Compostela, Festival Internazionale di Musica Antica di Milano, Teatro della Pergola in Florence, Festival Contemporaneamente Barocco in Siena, International Festival MITO, I concerti del Lingotto, Festival di Polignac, Festival di Beaune.
As a teacher, he holds the violoncello chair at Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali, officially recognized as a State Conservatorie, “O.Vecchi – A.Tonelli” in Modena.
